About the Concerned Citizens of Perry

Our Vison

Concerned Citizens of Perry is a grassroots activist organization dedicated to addressing the pressing social, political, and environmental issues facing the Perry community. Comprised of engaged and passionate individuals, the group is united by a shared commitment to making positive change through collective action and advocacy.
Our mission is to amplify the voices of local residents, promote civic engagement, and advocate for policies that prioritize the well-being of all Perry residents. We will work on a wide range of issues, including but not limited to environmental sustainability, social justice, affordable housing, education, and local government accountability, emphasis on government accountability. We believe in the power of community-driven solutions and are committed to fostering a transparent, inclusive, and fair environment for everyone in Perry.

Charter for “Concerned Citizens of Perry” – A Civic Engagement Initiative
I. Name of the Initiative
Concerned Citizens of Perry
An independent community-driven platform for civic dialogue, transparency, and local progress in Perry, Missouri.
II. Mission Statement
To inform, engage, and empower the people of Perry by amplifying local voices, promoting accountability, and driving constructive change through open dialogue, storytelling, and activism.
III. Vision
A well-informed, civically active Perry where residents are proud of their hometown, engaged in decisions that shape it, and committed to building a stronger future—together.
IV. Core Objectives

Create open dialogue through podcast episodes, community discussions, and public forums.

Promote transparency and accountability in local governance by sharing insights, updates, and citizen feedback.

Elevate underrepresented voices in the community—from local business owners to educators, farmers, and young leaders.

Encourage civic involvement by informing residents about issues, opportunities, and calls to action.

Build bridges between residents, city leadership, and civic organizations.

This initiative will be led by John DiMaria, former Alderman candidate and longtime community advocate. As the initiative grows, additional contributors, guest hosts, and community advisors may be included to expand its reach and diversity of thought.

“Concerned Citizens of Perry” is a nonpartisan effort. It is not affiliated with any political party, and its goal is to serve all residents of Perry—regardless of background or beliefs.

We invite all Perry residents to listen, engage, and participate. Change doesn't happen in silence—it happens when we speak up, show up, and work together.
